USAID SCHOLARSHIP 2023

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration in cooperation with Higher Education Commission (HEC) provides financial aid to students with disabilities. HEC USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship Program (MNBSP) is specifically designed for female candidates. Financial aid and scholarships are provided in this scheme. Over 5300 scholarship awards have been granted through the HEC USAID MNBSP program.

USAID Scholarship 2023 Apply Online

Students can apply directly through their HEC website and then submit the necessary documents in the Financial Aid Office of their institution of choice. Names of associate degree programs for two years are not included. programs as well as BA/BSc programs are not included.

USAID Merit and Needs Based 2023 Scholarship Program

USAID is committed to supporting scholarship programs for academically qualified Pakistani students who wish to pursue higher education, but are unable to continue due to lack of financial resources. It has supported the Government of Pakistan’s efforts to increase enrollment in Pakistani universities and meet international standards through the USAID-funded Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program (MNBSP) Phase-I since 2004.

HEC USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship 22-2023

It has supported scholarships for meritorious but financially disadvantaged students. The first phase of the program was implemented in 11 top public and private universities of Pakistan at a cost of US$ 10.63 million and awarded 1,807 scholarships in the fields of agriculture and business alone. Many graduates of this initial phase of MNBSP (Phase-I) were the first in their families to complete a higher education degree and almost half are now supporting their families through respectable jobs.

In 2013, USAID launched the second phase of the program with a total estimated cost of US$23.1 million. Under Phase II, 3000 scholarships have been added while 50% of the scholarships are reserved for women students. In addition to the eleven existing partner universities, 19 additional public sector institutions are also involved, bringing the total to 30 partner universities across Pakistan.

Four women’s universities namely Lahore College for Women University, Fatima Jinnah Women’s University Rawalpindi, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s Quetta and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University Peshawar have also been included under the program to emphasize girls’ education.

HEC PAK-USAID Merit & Needs-Based Scholarship Program

A total of ten universities from Punjab, five from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three from Balochistan, four from Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), six from Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and one from Azad Jammu and Kashmir are implementing MNBSP Phase II. Nationwide programs are being made.

Eligibility Criteria USAID scholarships 2022-23

1. Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the session 2022.
2. Students are enrolled at 30 partner private and public universities.
3. Students pursuing Master/MBA/MS/MPhil/Education Teaching Degree Program in selected subjects
4. Students who meet the criteria for eligibility and have provided all the necessary information as required by the regulations.

How to Apply for USAID MNBSP 2022-23

The application can be submitted only through HEC’s online system at scholarship.hec.gov.pk and the printout of the application along with the required supporting documents can be submitted to the Financial Aid Office of the concerned University. Don’t send all of your documentation to HEC. For more information, call the financial aid office.
