The Sheikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur Campus of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur was established by way of a notification from the Government of Sindh dated 12th December, in this regard. The university was named in honor of popular Sindh poet and poet Sheikh Ayaz who was from Shikarpur city.
