Global Korean Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the GKS Program for South Korea, you must meet the following criteria:

• All students must be in good health (physically/mentally).
• All students must earn 80% in GKS Scholarship.
• If you are not a South Korean citizen, you can still be eligible.
• Applicants must be a citizen of NIIED-DESIGNATED nations.
• All applicants must be less than 40 years old.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required to be eligible for Master’s Degree Scholarships.
• You must have a Master’s degree to be eligible for Ph.D. scholarship funds
• If they have enough time to graduate and wish to apply, they will need to submit a certificate from an expected guardian.

How do I apply for the Global Korea Scholarship 2023?

1. Two ways can you apply for the Korean Government Scholarship Program 2023. Either directly to the Korean university or the Korean Embassy in your country.
2. Candidates applying for the Korean Embassy must send original or certified documents.
3. For direct application to the university, a candidate must submit all documents to the home university.
4. A person applying through the embassy may apply to three universities, while an applicant applying directly can only apply to one university.
5. It is not the final choice for students who have completed round two of the Embassy Track process.
